What's More?! |

Having been to Japan for several times, I am still a freshman in skiing.
But I am totally fond of it. It's very exciting and with very nice looking outfits. I know
how to stop, make right hand and left hand turn, but do not know how to decelerate. Thus I
did not dare to climb up high and ski down since I cannot manage to control the speed. So this year, I decide to go to Hokkaido again and practice, practice, and
practice. I am going to stay in Hokkaido for a few days, than I need to go to Osaka to
meet my dear friend, Ozaki Maya. She is a Japanese lived in Osaka. I met her during her
second trip to Hong Kong. At that time, she was in a Chinese restaurant. She asked me if I
knew the way to Victoria Peak. Then I tried to talk to her in Japanese. She surprised and
asked me to introduce her some more nice restaurants. Then the other day, we went for
dinner together and to Lan Kwai Fong for drinks. We did have a wonderful night. Maya
speaks good English 'cause she has been home-stayed in San Francisco for a year. However,
we write and talk in Japanese unless I cannot get her point. Knowing Maya has given me a
chance to practice my conversational Japanese and learn more about Japanese culture. It's
truly a treasurable experience. |
